RiA Hillclimb Championship will be paused for some time and we will get to work on RiA Rally Championship, starting with the first race next month.
Leon French, Department of Finance, Los Santos City Government denied our application for following reasons:
"* After having reviewed the track, I found several racers illegally driving up and down the two-lane road, watching these people race up and down it has ensured me that there will, without a doubt be accidents, the latter part of the track is very dangerous, as is the initial part of the track, we are not willing to close off the road, nor expend the resources required to facilitate such a dangerous event.
* The Department of Finance will not be approving any permit to race up a mountain.
* ...We do not believe a racing academy to be a worthy investment, nor a safe one...
Handling Official Leon French"
RiA Management and Event Team thinks that these reasons are not good enough to deny the next race we applied for, because the track is not any less or more dangerous than the Mount Haan - which has been approved, not to mention Banham Festival of Speed which was two hours of waiting for LSFD to clean the crashes and one hour of actual racing. Dangerous places are marked on the track scheme and those places will be secured by barriers, and the whole track will be secured by LSPD and LSFD. And that scheme is always delivered to the competitors. Dangerous? Motorsport is dangerous. This sport can't go without crashes or injures, or even deaths. All the racers and all the people know that. That's the part of the sport - danger, and motorsport is everywhere, so we'll make sure it's in our city aswell. Street racers going up and down illegaly? That's why we organise events. To make sure the innocent people are safe. Hillclimb events are not made of people people running tracks up and down, racers race one by one - time attack. Racing Academy not a safe project? We don't agree on that too. It's better for young people to learn how to race in the classroom than in their cars, illegaly, endangering the lifes of others. None of the following reasons are good enough and we think that this will only bring more accidents and illegal racing. But as we promised, we'll fight against it! Government didn't support the sport and that will just get more people to race on those mountains illegaly, so we will continue our fight for LEGAL races, and untill we get RiA Hillclimb Championship back, RiA Rally Championship will start!
